Founded in the year of the rabbit, Bones & Woods was begun with the principal of delivering affordable, dependable and effective help to musicians in need. The said architects of B&W are messieurs Stuart Harwood and Marty Jones. Stuart Harwood hails from that NZ musical mecca known as Dunedin. He has learnt by doing, and by doing he has become good, no, better than good.
He’s someone who knows his way around a tour schedule and press release, and as a drummer he does currently smash the skins rather well for Tono and the Finance Company, Simon Comber, Pacquin, and Proton Beast.
Originating from the sulphurous city of Rotorua Marty Jones is probably most recognised for his work with Border Music, NZ’s foremost independent distribution company. There he represented some of the world’s most acclaimed and respected record labels, whilst working with and signing some of our most prominent and upcoming artists. For too long NZ’s independent artists have been without accessible promotional resources or unbiased advice. Thankfully Bones & Woods has arrived with the intention of delivering the goods for quality local acts, and at prices affordable to those who can usually can only afford Home Brand baked beans.
